By accessing or using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

  • Profile information: avatar/profile photo, biography, and location details (country, state, LGA, ward, polling unit).
  • Content: posts, comments, poll responses, event RSVPs, messages, and broadcast communications you create on the Platform.
  • Organisation data: membership details, leadership roles, and administrative actions within organisations and movements.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device type, operating system, platform (iOS, Android, web), and device tokens for push notifications.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, interaction patterns, and timestamps.
  • Log data: IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and access times.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Social login providers: when you sign in via Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile identifier from those services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform and its features.
  • Deliver notifications (in-app, push, and email) based on your preferences.
  • Enable community engagement features including posts, events, polls, messaging, and broadcasts.
  • Administer organisational hierarchies, memberships, and geographic-based content delivery.
  • Generate analytics and dashboards for administrators and movement leaders.
  • Process wallet transactions and financial disbursements.
  • Maintain audit logs for security and compliance purposes.
  • Send service-related communications including daily summaries and event reminders.
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security threats.

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the Platform services you have requested.

  • Organisation administrators: admins and leaders within your organisations can view member information, activity, and analytics.
  • Service providers: third-party services that help us operate the Platform, including cloud hosting (Render), email delivery (Resend), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), file storage, and AI services (OpenAI for content summaries).
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform services. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain data for legal or compliance purposes. Audit logs are retained for a minimum of 12 months for security and compliance.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, JWT-based authentication with role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.
